Created by Shaping Hearts artist Leong Si jun, the SBS Transit mural at the Wellness Village in Downtown Line Tampines Station celebrates movement, accessibility and shared journeys. Inspired by Si jun’s love for buses, trains and design, the mural depicts SBS Transit buses, train interiors, bus stops, commuters, wheelchair users, families and greenery in a lively community scene. The Wellness Village serves as a public space for wellness activities and community engagement, making the mural part of everyday commuter life. Despite challenges from deteriorating eyesight and muscle strength, Si jun paints patiently, stroke by stroke, filling the space with warmth, optimism and connection.
