About Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH)
The Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH), formerly known as the Singapore Association for the blind (SAB), was founded on 6th November 1951. It is a voluntary welfare organization affiliated to the National Council of Social Service and supported by the Community Chest as well as other well-wishers. The mission of the Association is to help its visually handicapped clients help themselves by acquiring new skills and gaining self-reliance for integration onto mainstream society.
