Punggol Digital District
Shaping Hearts, Singapore’s largest inclusive arts festival, launches at Punggol Digital District this year, inviting audiences to step into the world of artists with disabilities through art, play and shared experiences.

Shaping Hearts @ Punggol Digital District
This year, Shaping Hearts invites you to do more than just look at art. We’re inviting you to step into the world of artists with disabilities — to discover their stories, experience things from different perspectives, and be part of the journey.
Through art, play and hands-on experiences, audiences can get closer to the artists and explore what it means to see, hear, feel and move through the world differently.
Come curious. Come ready to play. Come as you are.

Shaping Hearts 2026 Launch Day
13 September 2026 | Punggol Digital District
Shaping Hearts 2026 officially launched on 13 September at Punggol Digital District (PDD), bringing together art, performances and interactive experiences that celebrate inclusion and connection. Joined by Guest-of-Honour Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong and Mayor Baey Yam Keng of the North East District, the launch highlighted how art can spark connection, inspire understanding and bring people together.
Throughout the day, visitors explored a variety of hands-on art activities across four Playgrounds at the Shaping Hearts exhibition — Texture, Visual, Rhythm and Motion — each offering a different way to experience and engage with art.
At the Texture Playground, visitors could explore the possibilities of natural materials and different textures through hands-on activities. At Blue in Bloom, participants created cyanotype prints using leaves, flowers and other natural objects, while Coffee Painting by Vincent Seet invited visitors to create artworks using coffee grounds, acrylic and watercolours, inspired by flowers, birds and landscapes.
The Visual Playground offered opportunities for visitors to draw, design and create. At Shared Ground Between Us, participants sketched their favourite neighbourhood spots and added them to a shared map. Visitors could also create colourful magnets using a 3D pen at 3D Pen Doodling Magnet, arrange mosaic tiles to make their own coaster at Tile Your Mosaic Coaster, and personalise a piece of art with colourful tiles at Pocketful of Colours.
At the Rhythm Playground, visitors could experience art through sound and performance. The launch featured Let The Rhythm Unite by Drum Prodigy Inclusive Ensemble, bringing audiences together through rhythm and music.
The Motion Playground encouraged visitors to explore creativity through movement and technology at the Motion Garden. Participants could colour their own pinwheels and watch them come to life on screen. They could then use their movements to interact with the digital pinwheels, making them spin faster.
The celebrations continued with a line-up of inclusive performances. Drum Prodigy Inclusive Ensemble got the crowd moving with Let The Rhythm Unite, while Shoes Theatre Storytelling presented Everybody’s Book Club. The day ended with Finger Players’ See Hear Touch, bringing audiences together through an engaging performance.
Visitors could also discover the Shaping Hearts 2026 Audio Trail, featuring 12 audio stops located around Punggol Digital District by looking out for the Audio Trail signage and scanning the QR codes to listen to stories shared by Shaping Hearts artists and workshop participants.

PLAYDATE@PDD
Happening alongside Shaping Hearts on 13 September, PLAYDATE@PDD transformed Campus Boulevard into an inclusive space filled with 16 curated pop-up booths featuring hands-on activities by local creators, youth groups and community groups.
Visitors could get creative through a variety of activities, from live painting, pet and animal sketching and collaborative doodling to weaving colourful hearts and painting tiles for a shared art installation. There were also opportunities to create puppets using everyday materials, decorate paper rolls to build a growing fort, and explore different textures through hands-on crafts.
For those who enjoyed music and movement, visitors could make music together using claps, shakers and voices, create chalk paint by mixing crushed chalk with water, or take part in playful movement activities inspired by familiar childhood games like hopscotch.
Other booths invited visitors to slow down, connect and experience art in different ways. Participants could enjoy interacting with installations that responded to their movements, express their feelings through a playful character, or work together with others to complete a collaborative challenge.
Through these experiences, PLAYDATE@PDD gave visitors the opportunity to play, create and connect in their own ways, with activities designed to be enjoyed by people of different ages, abilities and experiences.
